Experience.  Leadership.  Results.

It has been my great honor and privilege to serve as the Montgomery County Treasurer for the past five years. Despite the economic challenges we’ve faced, I have led a team of thirty dedicated public service professionals in making significant improvements to our business operations. A few of our accomplishments included:

  • Our office was recognized with the 2011 Marquis Award for Innovation by EPCOR, an electronic payments industry trade group, for the state-of-art payment processing system we implemented to better serve our citizens.
  • A new delinquent payment plan that calculates future and back taxes into monthly, level billing installments was an outcome of challenging “business as usual” and re-designing our collection strategy and IT processes.
  • $3 million is now collected annually from property owners by adopting a proactive approach to tracking down updated addresses associated with returned mail.
  • In the past year, I have attended 180 events and meetings to demonstrate my commitment to community outreach.
  • 200 homes were saved in the first year of the foreclosure mediation program my office funded through CountyCorp.
  • The new Land Bank is a product of my leadership efforts to develop an effective tool to help resolve the growing crisis from vacant, abandoned and blighted properties.
  • It is important who serves as Treasurer! With your vote I can continue serving as your professional, accountable, and innovative County Treasurer!

Thank you for your support on November 6th!
